Incarcerated rapper Clifford T.I. Harris Arkansas prison has reportedly been hit with an unknown virus outbreak which has resulted in suspended visiting hours.

While the rapper's health condition is currently unknown, the virus is reportedly spreading throughout the facility.

Authorities say visits with inmates have temporarily been suspended at the federal prison in Forrest City because of an illness outbreak. The prison says visits have been temporarily suspended because of a number of inmates with a ìsuspected gastrointestinal virus.î 

Prison officials say they donít yet know whatís sickened the inmates, but that they donít suspect swine flu. A prison official says visiting hours will resume once the virus is contained. (WXVT News)

Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesperson Traci Billingsley has confirmed the virus's existence.

A number of inmates recently became ill and have been treated at the prison, said Traci Billingsle. The symptoms appear to dissipate within 48 to 72 hours, she said. Swine flu is not suspected because these all are all gastrointestinal-related, Billingsley said. Visits were suspended Friday. 

They will resume when medical personnel are certain there is no risk of exposure, Billingsley said. The prison in Forrest City is a low-security facility housing male inmates, including rapper T.I., who is serving a yearlong sentence on a weapons charge. (The Morning News)

Foxy Brown Was on Some VIP Mess in the Joint

A day after reports leaked online which said Foxy Brown received celebrity treatment while serving her prison sentence last year, a corrections spokesman has denied these claims.

Spokesperson Stephen Morello has responded to the allegations that Foxy was able to wear Gucci sneakers in jail and received media interviews.

Morello said  that Brownís 2008 jailhouse interview and photo shoot with a hip-hop magazine, her sporting Gucci sneakers and a Fendi scarf in the prison, and purported extended visits in her cell with a chaplain fell within normal guidelines. ìInmates were entitled to wear their own clothing, he explained. 

That's her choice. The interviews were approved by the [Department of Correction's] Department of Media Services. We do it as a matter of routine.He noted that The Post has conducted many interviews in city jails and that Brownís lasted for about one hour, which is standard procedure. (New York Post)

Reports spread online over the weekend which said Brown received special treatment.

She spent her time prancing around in Gucci sneakers and a Fendi scarf, and when those got soiled, her jailhouse entourage brought her clean ones. Princess Foxy even got some free press for her new album and guards organized a photo shoot and interview with a magazine that featured Brown in time for the albumís release. 

Some people within the Department of Corrections are furious that guards jumped at the opportunity to be lackeys to Brown behind bars. And they say it's not the first time a star gets an easy time behind bars, courtesy of corrections officers. (NBC Chicago)

Earlier this year, the rapper inked a blog entry which spoke on her experiences being locked up at Riker's Island prison.

On Riker's Island,she wrote. Looking at an eight-month bid. Since Shyne got 9, hip-hop's been on trial.It was during those 23 hours, EVERYDAY, that I looked long and hard at myself. Who I was from young Inga to Foxy Brown to a number on a docket.I learned to be grateful to be given another chance. And now I just got to show and prove not to the world, but to myself.

The rapper served just over eight months of a one-year sentence prior to being released on April 18, 2008.

This is a big day for me,Brown told SOHH. To have everybody here that I love, my whole family, the whole Brooklyn, the officers that took care of me at Rikers. Eight months to the day, I remember going in August and I said when I come out, I'm coming out even better. And I'm back baby, it's a wrap.(SOHH)

R.Kelly Pee'd Off over Scam Allegations

 

R. Kelly has been dragged into a massive investigation in South Africa -- but the singer claims he's the victim of a grifter gone mad.

It all started when a woman accused of scamming more than 50 people out of tons of money claimed Kelly played a part in the plot.

She allegedly conned her victims into investing money in an R. Kelly tour that never existed. The woman reportedly says she deposited the money into Kelly's bank account.

She's been charged with more than 60 counts of fraud -- and Kelly is wanted for questioning.

Kelly is vehemently denying involvement -- his publicist said:

"The woman has no connection at all with R. Kelly. This is just some con woman who swindled a bunch of people out of money. R. Kelly had no knowledge of this, he's just as upset as anyone."

RiRi 's Not Ready to Walk Away from Breezy Beatdown's

After yesterday’s shocking courtroom drama, one of the hardest sentences Breezy received was an order to stay away from Rihanna for the term of his probation which is five years. That’s five years with no wild @ss fights, throwing cell phones out the windows of moving cars and gettin’ your @ss beat.
As part of the plea deal struck by Chris Brown on Monday (June 22), the singer was issued a “stay away” order by Judge Patricia Schnegg that requires the singer to avoid his former girlfriend for the next five years, according to Rihanna’s attorney.
Donald Etra told a group of reporters outside the courthouse that his client didn’t think the “stay away” order was necessary. Rihanna was previously granted an order of protection against Brown, but the pair briefly reunited at a Miami mansion owned by Diddy following the alleged assault.
Now, however, the two will be required to keep their distance.
Under the guidelines of the order, Etra said the pair won’t be able to have even a distant, cordial relationship. Brown cannot contact Rihanna at all, while Rihanna reaching out to Brown would be considered a violation on Brown’s part, punishable by law. Should they both appear at an event, Brown would be required to stay at least 10 yards away from his former girlfriend.
Etra said the order was issued for the duration of Brown’s five-year probation, although the judge said she would reconsider the issue when Brown is sentenced in August.
Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault charges and will be sentenced to up to 180 days of community service in Virginia. Had he gone to trial, Brown could have faced up to four years and eight months in prison. Brown must also enroll in domestic-abuse courses.
These two didn’t realize how serious their violent relationship was. RiRi better keep her distance or she’ll get Breezy’s @ss locked up for real.

Chris Brown Cops Plea-No Jail Time.....

Chris Brown has copped a plea in his assault case. He won't do jail time, but he will spend 6 months doing things like road cleanup. He's also been ordered to stay 50 yards clear of Rihanna.



He'll spend 180 days doing community labor (8 hours a day -- 1440 hours total) -- which is, in effect, hard labor. He'll do his service in Virginia which is where Brown lives. A Virginia law enforcement officer told us Brown will be picking up trash, pulling weeds and washing fire trucks.

He gets 5 years probation for FELONY assault -- he pled guilty. He'll get supervised probation. He'll have to come back to court every three months. 

He must enroll in a domestic violence counseling program.

This is interesting ... the judge said if Brown and Rihanna are at the same public events, the 50-yard stay away turns into 10 yards. The stay away order lasts 5 years.

The judge said she wanted to make sure that Chris Brown "was treated as any other person who comes through this court."

"I Hate the National Anthem", Says Thandiswa

Wow what a statement. Afro-Pop singer Thandiswa Mazwai raised eyebrows when she told friends on the social networking site Facebook that "she hates the national anthem". 

Further more she said she was "put on the spot" by a friend who asked her to sing the afrikaans version of the national anthem "Die Stem" at the event.

 It is alledged that she wrote the following on her facebook: "I hate this f***ing national anthem. How can it be that the anthem and prayer for Africa is now so blatantly joined with the anthem which systematically raped this land and its people of all its value and pride? How do we join these two songs and then sing them with such fake pride in this supposed new South Africa? I can’t.”

Tina's Testimony Will NOT Be Televised....Darn

Television cameras won’t be present in the courthouse when Rihanna takes the witness stand at a preliminary hearing for Chris Brown’s assault trial on June 22nd, CNN reports. A court spokesperson said yesterday that Los Angeles Criminal Court Judge Patricia Schnegg opted to deny media requests to allow cameras into the courtroom for Rihanna’s testimony. No explanation was given for the ruling. A sketch artist will be allowed to draw the hearing, however.

After failing numerous times to postpone Monday’s hearing to avoid having Rihanna air potentially damaging details regarding the February 8th incident, Chris Brown’s legal team, led by lawyer Mark Geragos, will reportedly seek a plea agreement by next Monday to prevent Rihanna’s testimony. Rihanna’s lawyer Donald Etra previously said he cleared out his client’s calendar for this month to ensure that the “Umbrella” singer would be able to cooperate with the prosecution. “She will definitely comply with the subpoena and any court order,” Etra said.

Learning that your baby daddy’s got another chick pregnant on the internet is not a good look. Lauren’s starting to see what she’s gotten herself into with  Lil “No Condoms” Wayne and its a lesson learned a little too late.

I was told yesterday Lauren London was at lost for words today after finding out that her baby daddy was expecting another child yesterday. Lauren who is almost 6 months pregnant didn’t know anything about Nivea pregnancy, and found out online and was outraged. Like every other star these days, she took to her Twitter page to express how she felt. But after speaking to a family friend left the topic alone.

She then decided to spend the day with her family and close friends. Lauren told her friends that she is worried if her career is over as a result of these issues. As we all know Lauren is on the pinnacle of Black Hollywood as the face of Sean John and reoccurring role in the remake of Beverly Hills 90210 on the CW. A reliable source stated that Wayne doesn’t want anything to do with Lauren.

Today Nivea called Ryan Cameron’s and confirmed that she is indeed pregnant with a boy. In fact, both of them are pregnant with Wayne’s sons. This is a really bad situation, considering that she is knocked up and the baby daddy is in love with someone else.

Lauren London can have any man in the world but she chooses to get with an engaged man… Is the recession effecting men too!!!! This makes Wayne about 4 babies up and 4 baby mamas down. I guess it is true about Wayne ” He can f*&^k any girl in this world”.

Its seems there was no visible forced entry. In fact the Horny Egypt players had picked up five prostitutes in Rosebank,and had brought them into their rooms after scoring a historic win against world champions Italy last week Thursday.

The real winners according to local reports  that night were in fact the prostitutes who allegedly stole US$2400 from their rooms.

The case is still under investigation, the hotel sent a statement saying they have the best security . So only time will tell if they were cleaned out by hotel staff or prostitutes. And if it was prostitutes then well........ You got what u paid for.

Official:Khanyi Mbau and Mandla Split

According to local reports Mandla Mthembu and Khanyisile have split.

Its reported that Khanyi will not only loose her marriage but also her Famous Lamborghini. It seems Mandla did not buy the vehicles as he had previously said, in-fact he lied and the vehicles were leased.

The vehicles are owned by Wesbank and they are now trying to get Khanyisile to return her vehicle.

It is not clear if the reason they are to be returned is because Mandla has gone broke or if its because he is trying to get Khanyi back for leaving him. We suspect Mandla is broke, why else would he have moved out of his R100 000 apartment without paying his rent....

Well hope this is a lesson for both of you, Khanyi you need to stop Showing OFF, what car will you drive now??? And to you Mandla in future stay clear of the Gold Diggers, as soon as there are money problems they too will disappear.

 At a press conference held at the Saxon hotel in Johannesburg the local media media went under fire when R kelly tried to censor the loca media.

Kelly demanded that all the media articles written about him should first be sent to him for approval.

He even tried to get reporters to sign a contract to that effect, threatening an R800 000 defamation claim if they refused.

Mama Oprah comes back to see her girls

Mama Oprah, as she is known to her girls at The Leadership Acadamy in Henly On Klip is back .She spent an entire week clapping and tapping her feet enthusiastically at a musical rendition held at the school.

The girls were also treated to acting classes by british actress Thandie Newton and got art and design lessons from Greg Lauren, the nephew of American fashion designer Ralph Lauren.

The festival also included dance classes, photography workshops , cooking lessons from Art Smith ,Oprahs( former personal Chef )and learning about the art of story telling from legendary African storyteller Gcina Mhlope.

We would like to congratulate you Mama Oprah, for a job well done with the girls.

An unnamed source revealed details behind the actor Morgan Freeman's divorce from his wife of 25 years, claiming he maintained a 10 year affair with his 27-year-old step-granddaughter.

According to the National Inquirer, Freeman, 72, was party to an extramarital relationship with his step-granddaughter that began when she was still a teenager. The alleged affair is the centerpiece of the spilt from his wife, Myrna, and also led to the break-up with his long-time mistress, Mary Joyce Hays.

The source claimed to be a "close family insider" and explained the details of the relationship between Freeman and his step-granddaughter, E'Dena Hines. The actor and his wife Myrna raised Hines, who is the granddaughter of his first wife, "since she was a little girl."

"Myrna said E'dena told her that when she was a teenager, she and Morgan went to dinner at a friend's house one evening. Both had been drinking, and when they returned home, Morgan attempted to have sex with her. They stopped just short of having intercourse," the source revealed. "E'Dena explained to Myrna that she stopped Morgan from going any further."

The actor agreed to leave the child alone after he was confronted by Myrna, but the source insists the two sustained the relationship for years. In recent years, Hines has been Morgan's date to several events and screenings including the premier of "The Dark Knight."

The pop princess was slated to perform tomorrow at M2 — the West 27th Street nightclub that used to be Crobar and Mansion — as part of the launch of her “I Am . . . Sasha Fierce” North American tour. M2 ownerJoey Morrissey agreed to pay the singer $200,000 for the gig, he says.

But on Wednesday, Beyoncé’s people suddenly pulled the plug on the performance, despite having signed a contract that had prompted Morrissey to spend $100,000 preparing for the show, according to the clubowner. “They said they were too busy with the launching of the tour and that they wouldn’t have time to do the kickoff party,” Morrissey tells Page Six. To make up for the cancellation, Morrissey says Beyoncé offered to stop by the club “to hang out for an hour” on Sunday. He adds, “I mean, we sold tables for thousands of dollars for the show, and spent $100,000 renting a soundboard and other equipment, as per their stipulations. What good does her showing up for an hour do me? They’ve been totally unwilling to agree to another show.”

As a result, Morrissey says he’s now preparing to file suit against Beyoncé, claiming his place has suffered a “loss of reputation” in addition to the sunk cash. “We had an overwhelming response from our clubgoers, who were lining up to buy tickets and tables. This will come as a great disappointment to all of them,” he claims, adding, “If Beyoncé cancels and doesn’t give us a new date, this hurts our credibility in night life.” The gig, which was initially posted on the singer’s Web site, has since been taken down. A rep for Beyoncé at Sony did not respond to our phone calls and e-mails.
